I’m male, in my thirties and a proud Londoner born & bred. I love London’s cultural diversity & richness and the ‘anything goes’ mentality that most Londoners possess.
I believe that ‘manners maketh the man’ (or woman), but I don’t like superficial good manners either. As in, nastiness hidden behind a mask of ostensible politeness. I try to be as open and honest as humanly possible with all my endeavours, but in a world filled with so much nonsense, I find this no easy task.
I have a propensity to use inverted commas an awful lot, both in writing and in speech. If I lose my 2 index fingers, I’ll barely be able to order breakfast in a café.
While I believe that many questions in life have a ‘yes or no’ answer. The solution to some of our most searching and awkward inner-questions, often lies within the grey area.
I stumble through life, trying to make sense of all its oddities. Hopefully attaining wisdom at points, whilst simultaneously committing gross acts of folly. I fluctuate between taking life very seriously and not at all seriously. And I think there’s a philosophical bent to my way of thinking.
As an avid diarist of many years I’ve decided to try blogging, on the offchance that some people may enjoy my musings. I will write anonymously, as I have no desire for wanton self-publicity. I cannot understand the modern preoccupation with attaining celebrity status, regardless of having any discernible talent.
I watch a lot of movies. There will be some very basic reviews, centering around a recommendation if a film is worth seeing or not. No need for ‘spoiler alerts’ – I hate it when people give endings away. Bizarrely, my mother has a pathological need to always say whether or not a protagonist lives or dies at the end, if there’s a movie she’s seen that I haven’t.
